The Antichrist is like the Christ—well-known, but little understood. Throughout Western culture, antichrist is the assumed, ultimate epitome of evil, much in the same vein as Satan. For many 21st century Evangelicals, he is equated with Revelation’s Beast, a feared future destroyer whose march is only stopped by the heralded return of Christ. While Christians have longed to see Jesus’ face again, the identity of the Antichrist is an unknown variable in our end days expectations.

Jcf charity report: Your Gifts Helped these Ministries, Individuals, and Families from January to june 2020

Yulia is an Israeli single mother of three teenagers who has been separated from her husband for five years.  Yulia has requested a restraining order against her husband because of his violence towards her and her son, and she has stayed in a women’s shelter for abused women. The husband has several debts that he has put in Yulia’s name causing her accounts to be frozen. Yulia has worked as a caregiver to the elderly, but she now has nerve damage due to her occupation.  In the midst of her financial responsibilities and debts, she has done physical therapy and has received some disability allowance. Recently, her landlord sold her apartment forcing her struggling family to move. During the move their refrigerator and dryer broke, so JCF contributed toward purchasing new appliances ($1,032).

Sandra is an Arab Christian girl who lives in Jerusalem’s Old City. Her front teeth have broken several times and her family does not have dental insurance. JCF is covering part of her dental work ($800).

Ronda is a 78-year-old Israeli woman who suffers from several chronic illnesses such as strokes, diabetes, high blood pressure, and dementia. She was moved to a nursing home and her situation improved there. However, Ronda’s only son, could not keep up with the payments to the nursing home (approximately $2900 a month) after paying the first five months. JCF is paying for part of the nursing home this month ($742) until financial arrangements are made with social services.

Harry is a Palestinian orphan who is now married with his own family. During the Covid19 crisis, he has not been paid by his employer. JCF covered part of his electric bill and school tuition for his two children ($800).

Judy is a 55-year-old Israeli single mother who works with the elderly, but because of her deteriorating health, she is unable to work as much. She is applying for disability allowance while working a new part time job. JCF paid part of her rent ($598).

Sheila is an Israeli single mother of five. Due to her husband’s continual abuse, she filed for a divorce in 2013. Sheila has also undergone treatment for cancer and now receives disability.  During her chemotherapy sessions, she lost all her teeth and received implants.  Despite her physical health issues, Sheila works as a caregiver to the elderly. In the midst of Sheila’s personal challenges, her son recently died in a motorcycle accident. JCF is donated toward her property tax for the year ($597).

Bilhah is a Christian Arab woman studying at university.  Her family is having trouble paying for her second semester tuition. JCF is helping cover part of that tuition ($597).

Sally is an Israeli woman who suffers from health and psychiatric problems. She lives in government-funded housing that is in disrepair. The government renovated her home, but she had to move out and find a place to stay for two weeks.  JCF helped cover the cost of finding temporary housing during the renovation ($299).

Omar is a Christian Arab from Bethlehem who needs medication for his high blood pressure and diabetes. Due to financial struggles, JCF gave toward his medication costs ($598). 

Alexa is a 71-year-old Israeli widow and mother of two. She has a lot of debt that was incurred by her late husband. She has also fought cancer and has many medical bills. She is trying to pay off some of her debts. JCF helped purchase a heater her home during the winter ($597).

Gail is a 49-year-old Israeli single mother of four. She suffers from fibromyalgia and is in the process of requesting disability. She has also been involved in several abusive relationships. At different points, her children have been taken from her, but now they are at home with her. She is trying to provide a stable and warm home for her children. JCF is helping with their grocery expenses ($597).

Silicia is a 74-year-old Israeli woman who worked for 30 years at the Israeli Treasury and received her severance at the time she retired, but she no longer receives any pension. She has recently had trouble paying some bills and received a warning from the electric company. JCF gave toward her electric bill ($597).

House of Light is a non-profit Arab Christian ministry which provides spiritual and social aid. During the Covid19 crisis they have been helping around 25 families per month with cleaning materials, dry food, meat, and vegetables. In addition, they help provide for other urgent needs, like utility bills. These needy families include single parents, prisoners, drug addicts, and the disabled. JCF contributed $4,000 to House of Light’s COVID19 fund.

Beit El Congregation is a Messianic Ethiopian congregation in Jerusalem.  Many members are having financial difficulty in paying for basic needs during COVID19.  JCF is helping cover some of their basic expenses ($1,487).

Little Hearts Preschool is a unique preschool where Jews, Arabs, and the nations come together to form a unified community in Messiah. It strives to provide a quality trilingual (English, Hebrew, Arabic), faith-based education at an affordable cost for locals.  During the Covid19 crisis, the school shut down for almost three months. With tuition as the main source of income, the preschool now needs to raise almost $150k to make it to the next school year.  JCF contributed $3,000 towards Little Hearts’ bills.
